TORCH Website: Free listing of all TORCH members throughout the state, with links to many industry resources.
Chapter Website: Free listing / advertising of your facility in the local area.
Statewide Chapter: Important should you relocate or purchase facilities in other areas of Texas.
Policy and Procedure Manual: Available for purchase in hard copy and CD Rom, with updates annually or when changes are made to the DHS standards, free of charge.
Certification for Managers: Assisted Living Manager classes are held throughout the state, with Session I (on the Assisted Living Standards) also available online.
Annual Conference: The TORCH Conference held annually in San Antonio provides excellent speakers, educational sessions, networking opportunities. Many exhibitors are a part of our conference.
CEU's: Continuing education hours for assisted living managers, nurses and social workers can be acquired at the conference and the seminar.
Legislative/TDHS Representation: TORCH's Board and the Legislative Committee stay informed of changes and actively work for change on all issues relevant to Assisted Living / Residential Care in Texas.
Newsletter: "The Flame" published every other month keeps you informed of issues, policies, and industry information. "News Alerts" are sent, emailed, or faxed as needed. You will be the first to know when an issue breaks!!
Networking: As with any organization, the greatest benefit is networking with others in your industry. TORCH provides an opportunity to build friends, share experiences, exchange ideas, and work for the good of Assisted Living/Residential Care in Texas.
